A help I found from years of cooking in my business --- if I get burned. with splatter, I dowse the burn with mustard. Something about the mustard seed seems to be a healer. I burned myself pretty bad tonight with lamb grease , out of oven. whole hand affected. Puttin my hand right under cold water. with many choice words, then immediately covered hand and covered hand and wrist with mustard assuming I would be left with large blister. To my surprise - no sign of burn - a little sore but no blister and no sign of burn. If this helps someone - glad to help 166b1s
